study: doug braithwaite

this is a study based on part of a Justice cover by doug braithwaite.

i'm suddenly interested in digital painting! it's a lot more crampy than regular painting but im also not used to holding the stylus thingie.

Nice Work, a Lexus. I love digital painting, but I don't worry about that slippery feeling the tablet has. I don't think anyone ever gets used to it. That's why all the bigshots all use cintiqs. I've thought about getting one of those tablet laptops recently. They're so much fun and cheaper than a cintiq.

gabe: it's not the slippery surface its just that the markmaking is more.. predictable/limited than with real painting so i don't move my arm around as much as i would when i'm working "analog". also i still have the stylus in a kind of deathgrip just because it's new to me.
